Polyphonic Being

This installation is inspired by Mycelium. A soft sculpture sprouts root-like hyphae that encourage the viewers to squeeze. Upon touch, the hyphae with red embroidered rings trigger birdsong or separate melody lines sang by my mum. The interweaving of the sounds mimic the growth of the hyphae.
